FRAUD PREVENTION TIPS
FRAUD PREVENTION TIPS
Fraud is the fastest growing crime in Canada and it's difficult to stay on top of the latest schemes that are rampant online and in our community. The fraudsters are technologically savvy and convincing, tempting you online, on your phone, in your mailbox and at your door. Learn how to spot the scams and recognize the red flags to keep from becoming a victim. Know the steps to take if you have been victimized. Education on fraud tactics is critical to help us keep our families and communities safe. In 2024 alone, Canadiens lost a staggering $638 million. Despite this rise in financial losses, the rate of frauds being reported remains low, with only 5% to 10% reported. I will share with you my personal stories along with tips and tricks to spot the latest frauds and scams. I will be available to answer your questions and openly discuss the latest scams. Let's fight fraud together!
