Family & Community Supports

Life can bring challenges that are difficult to navigate alone. WFCSS provides information, guidance and connections to help individuals and families find the right supports for their needs.

We can help you:
  • Navigate local programs, services and resources
  • Connect with community organizations and supports
  • Find information related to family and caregiver needs
  • Explore available financial, housing, food and transportation resources
  • Identify options and next steps when you’re not sure where to start

You don't have to figure it all out on your own. Contact WFCSS and we can help you explore your options and connect you with the right resources.

COMPASS for the Caregiver

Caregiving can be rewarding, but it can also be stressful, isolating and overwhelming. COMPASS for the Caregiver is a four-week program designed to help caregivers balance their own well-being with the challenges of caring for someone else.

What to Expect
Led by a trained facilitator, the program provides caregivers with information, practical tools and an opportunity to connect with others who understand the caregiving experience.

The course is delivered over four sessions, and participants are encouraged to attend all four sessions.
Sessions are held in person at the WFCSS office.

Registration
Registration is required. Program dates are offered throughout the year as sessions become available.

Please note: The registration fee and manual costs are covered by WFCSS for residents of Strathmore, Wheatland County, Hussar, Rockyford and Standard. Residents outside these communities may be subject to a $55 registration and manual fee.

Program Update
  • Due to recent staffing changes, COMPASS for the Caregiver sessions have been postponed.
  • But don't worry, we'll be back with our next session soon!
  • Please check back for updates on upcoming session dates and registration.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.
