Wheatland Family & Community Support Services

There’s a place for everyone in our community

WFCSS relies on community members who are willing to share their time, skills and experience to help strengthen Wheatland County.

Whether you want to lend a hand at a community program, support an event, connect with others or contribute your skills,
volunteering is a meaningful way to get involved and make a difference.

Interagency

The Wheatland Interagency Council brings together agencies, organizations, businesses, and individuals who provide services to individuals and families throughout Wheatland County, Strathmore, and surrounding communities.

Interagency was one of the first programs established by Wheatland FCSS in 1978. The council provides an opportunity for local service providers to share information, promote programs and services, discuss community needs, reduce duplication, and build stronger partnerships.
Monthly Meetings
Interagency meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each month from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., September through June. Meetings rotate between member agencies and may also be held virtually. Members are encouraged to bring their lunch to in-person meetings.

Each agency has an opportunity to share updates about its programs, upcoming events, community concerns, and resources. Information can also be shared between meetings through the Interagency email network maintained by WFCSS.
Who Can Participate?
Everyone is welcome to attend. Interagency is intended for community service agencies, non-profit organizations, businesses, and individuals who have an interest in supporting the community.

Whether you are looking to share information about your organization, learn about local resources, connect with other service providers, or develop new partnerships, Interagency provides a space to connect and collaborate.

For more information or to learn how to participate, contact WFCSS at 403-934-5335
