The Alberta senior benefit is a program to assist seniors with low-income, to get financial assistance with monthly expenses. You can only apply for the benefit if you you are 65, as well as meeting the other eligibility criteria.
SHARP is the seniors home adaption and repair program. It provides low interest home equity loans for home repairs, adaptations and renovations that help seniors: remain independent in their homes, be safe in their homes, adapt and modify their homes to improve accessibility and mobility, improve energy efficiency of their homes.

The RAMP program is to assist low-income Albertans with mobility changes to their homes in order for them to live there safely with grants. The Grants are for permanent modifications that help facilitate access to movement within a principal residence.
When turning 65 there are quite a few things that need to be to get the financial support lined up. There are certain things that you need to apply for as they do not start automatically, such as :Canada Pension Plan, Old Age Security, Guaranteed Income Supplement, Alberta Seniors Benefit. The Special needs assistance program for seniors is a benefit that gives financial assistance to seniors that qualify with low-income toward the cost of some appliances, and specific health and personal supports.
