Aids To Daily Living (AADL)
AADL is a program that helps Albertans stay independent in their communities by covering a portion the costs of basic medical equipment and supplies. To be eligible you need to assessed by a health care professional.
Alberta Seniors Benefit
The Alberta senior benefit is a program to assist seniors with low-income, to get financial assistance with monthly expenses. You can only apply for the benefit if you you are 65, as well as meeting the other eligibility criteria.
SHARP
​SHARP is the seniors home adaption and repair program. It provides low interest home equity loans for home repairs, adaptations and renovations that help seniors: remain independent in their homes, be safe in their homes, adapt and modify their homes to improve accessibility and mobility, improve energy efficiency of their homes.
Residential Access Modification Program (RAMP)
The RAMP program is to assist low-income Albertans with mobility changes to their homes in order for them to live there safely with grants. The Grants are for permanent modifications that help facilitate access to movement within a principal residence. 
Turning 65
When turning 65 there are quite a few things that need to be to get the financial support lined up. There are certain things that you need to apply for as they do not start automatically, such as :Canada Pension Plan, Old Age Security, Guaranteed Income Supplement, Alberta Seniors Benefit. There are other benefits as well. Here at FCSS we off assistance applying for all of these programs. 
Special Needs Assistance
The Special needs assistance program for seniors is a benefit that gives financial assistance to seniors that qualify with low-income toward the cost of some appliances, and specific health and personal supports. ​
LINK 55+
Link 55 uses a holistic approach with Social Prescribing to bridge the gap between medical and social care services. A Link worker that is a non-medical professional, that compliments the medical care by helping clients develop and achieve their personalized set of wellness goals by accessing the community resources. Your Link Worker will help you identify the areas in your life where the supports and activities would be most beneficial and activities could help you feel better, more confident, and able to better manage your health and current situation. 

All referrals must be made by a health care professional. For more information call your local FCSS.
